Blacksmith Made Standard Lamp

It is important when designing a standard lamp to take into consideration of how to conceal the wiring, nothing looks more awkward than a nicely handforged lamp , light or chandelier to then have electric cable visible on the job , its almost as bad as fitting blacksmith made period door ironwork with modern posidrive screws.

The challenge to hide the wires in the design can be frustrating but rewarding once a solution is found, the art is to think like the craftsmen before us, using the simple tools they had and the materials available , and not be seduced by the modern materials and machines around us today, the result being a product which is unique, of noble character and charm.
